Looks great and reminds me I have sausage in the freezer.
I'll have some this weekend. I have bread with mine, like a
Portuguese roll or something.

One stinkin' R rated sausage... I don't think that's worth the mega
pixels. I think I'm looking at sorry onions and okra but what's that
yellow vomit looking stuff over to the left, looks like a sanitarium
loogie.
There's no such thing as turkey Italian... and you can lose your knee
caps for that remark. At least you got rid of those clown dishes, but
your presentation couldn't be more sad. Obviously you must be on some
sort of fercocktah diet... then presentation is all the salvation you
got... let's get with it... you gotta do better, much better.
Perhaps you never heard of the word:
garnish
1 : EMBELLISHMENT , ORNAMENT
2 : something (as lemon wedges or parsley) used to garnish food
---
garnish
n. A decorative, edible accompaniment to finished dishes, from
appetizers to desserts. Garnishes can be placed under, around or on
food, depending on the dish. They vary from simple sprigs of parsley
or exotically carved vegetables on plated food, to CROUTONS in soup,
to chocolate leaves on top of chocolate mousse. Garnishes should not
only be appealing to the eye, but should also echo or complement the
flavor of the dish. garnish v. To decorate or accompany a dish with a
garnish.

I find turkey wanna-be's (turkey bacon, turkey breakfast sausage and
certainly turkey "Italian" sausage) to be such a crock. Just my opinion,
obviously, but I don't understand the fascination with replacing everything
with turkey. If you bother to read labels (I do) most of the turkey stuff
contains the ground up skin which is just as, if not moreso, fatty than the
regular meat people are striving to replace in the name of low fat. Doesn't
make a lick of sense.

They sell turkey sausages here in Italy. Maybe they should call them
American sausages?

I don't eat turkey bacon, but I have kids that do. Are you saying
that turkey bacon has skin in it? Well, I guess it has to have some
sort of fat to be bacon.
The original reason why people claimed to like turkey (other than
"low" fat) was that it was versitile. They claimed it was like veal
(which is scarce on the Left Coast). Personally, I'd rather use
ground chicken.

If Sheldon said it looks like it came from a sanitarium, trust me, it does.

Never seen mustard dispensed so... disgusting.

The most perfect and perfectly tamper proof viand possible; hard
cooked *eggs*... turned egg salad by my very own hand (no fercocktah
mystery turkey meat)... with a large garden salad of assorted produce
interspersed with swiss lorraine strips and and canned mandarin
segments and fresh picked strawberries from my own patch..... dressing
just olive oil and vinegar, s n' p, and a couple fresh picked mint
sprigs (for show, I don't eat mint... my parsley was too young to
violate as yet.) Actually I should have digicamed it, would have
blown yoose away, but for me it was just ordinary weekday mundane.
My mint patch:

person. Here is the ultimate garnish, occurs often after a
thunderstorm just about dinner time:

I've never really tried any of the turkey products. I'll buy regular
sliced turkey from the deli and I eat turkey but I never saw the point in
the turkey sausages etc. The fat content isn't that much different on many
of the products.

Yep, I enjoy a good hot open-faced turkey sandwich with some gravy on a nice
toasted french roll. Like you, I don't understand the thought of mangled
turkey products. Last time I checked, turkeys didn't have the necessary
anatomy to produce bacon 😉

I'm with you on that, now that Oscar Meyer uses turkey for their cheese
hot dogs I want buy them anymore. I just hope this fascination with
ground turkey is a passing fad.

I noticed that several posters disagree with my sentiments, but I
liked them. There was a decent fennel perfume to them. In fact I'll
have one for lunch in a minute.

You seem to be making the assumption that everyone consumes these products
to lower their fat intake. Not necessarily so. My BIL doesn't eat pork
products for religious reasons. I think turkey bacon, turkey sausage, etc
makes a great deal of sense and I keep them around especially for him, to
honor his dietary preferences.
