They're more profitable. It seems most people would rather watch that kind of
thing as they are eating their McDonald's takeout meal. A BigMac tastes better
that way. The true gourmets of the audience get Outback "take-away" meals
instead... they're a higher class of people! ;-)--

I only found two problems with that sentence—teach should have been
"teaches" and there is no question mark at the end. It's not really
that bad considering some of the posts I see on Usenet. 🙂--

supply no access. heheSheldon

Actually aside from a very minor tense problem (teachES - easily
attributable to a typo ommission) the poster's English is quite
intelligible, and the question quite valid. In fact it's your
sentence that's not well constructed and not very intelligible nor is
your question intelligent or valid.Sheldon

Ginny, no offense. Let's just say when I was working I had NO time to
peruse newsgroups or even personal email, let alone post stuff to
newsgroups. In fact, our IT department blocked access to anything like ICQ
chat, AIM, Yahoo Messenger and ng access). Nothing against you personally;
simply a fact. They are, after all, company computers. If you don't have time at home I *sincerely* hope this means you have a
great quality life at home with your family! This isn't against *you*; it's
against the idiots posting about Britney Spears' [censored], and stupid questions
which equal "Does anyone have any recipes from Europe?" And trust me, Alice
Cooper is far too old to be singing about "School's Out For Summer". Old
rockers never die... they should sometimes fade away before their makeup
cracks.Jill

work blocks things (like google images) that I used for eduactional
purposes at work. I know how to get around that one, but I still am
offended that I am put in the same category as middle and high school
students.Quoted message said:

People at work have breaks, lunch time and time after work (if they
are trying to avoid the rush hour) to diddle around on the internet.
Personally, I can get google groups at work.... and they are not as
interesting as they are when I'm at home using Agent as a news reader.
I can't stand the Google interface, so I use it when I'm either
waiting to be picked up from work or replying (at home) to a thread
I've deleted all previous posts to.Google groups should not exist as an "alternative news reader". It
should only exist in the same way DejaNews did.. for research
purposes.--

domain. That's where the "look at Britney's [censored]!" stuff is coming from,
among other things. I have some nice [censored] right in front of me if I care
to look at [censored]. Who gives a rats ass about Britney or Paris or any of
those other ho's? That's what I'm blocking, not google posts.Jill
