Why don't they make a cooking show that teach people how to cook so they can make their own food
I don't know about the rest of the rfc regulars but I'm about to killfile the entire gmail domain. And it will only get worse since school is about to let out for summer.
I don't have a problem with gmail.... heck, my return address is gmail so you'd KF me too if you decide to take that step.
I KF subject lines and authors, not domains.
How many subject lines does it take to make a killfile? Britney? [censored]? It's the new AOL. The new WebTV. So much easier for now to get rid of gmail.com, then wait until school is back in and let it go again.
I never said I blocked Google GROUPS. I said I blocked gmail.com as a domain. That's where the "look at Britney's [censored]!" stuff is coming from, among other things. I have some nice [censored] right in front of me if I care to look at [censored]. Who gives a rats ass about Britney or Paris or any of those other ho's? That's what I'm blocking, not google posts.
You have my personal address, but I post using gmail as the return. How will you block gmail.com without blocking me too?

Frankly, I get so little of that stuff, I barely notice it. I have 22 specific filters (many should be deleted, I just looked) and NONE of them are for Britany or [censored]. Penis, yes... [censored], no. My criteria is - if it doesn't reappear soon after the original post (I'll give it 24 hr to die a natural death), it's not worth my time to filter it.

Actually, as far as Usenet is concerned, Google Groups is the new AOL -- partly because when AOL dumped Usenet they advised their subscribers to move to Google Groups. I say "partly" because surely not all the Google Gropers came from AOL.

I don't have a problem with people using Google Groups to post. It's the myriad of kiddies who have discovered @gmail.com addresses that are creating lots of the ignorant cross-postings regarding race, sexuality and just plain idiotic posts akin the lines of the old "Anyone have any recipes from Europe?" It's the new AOL, or the new generation of WebTV'rs. Summer hasn't started and I'm already tired of them 🙂

I keep telling you that Jill is a moron, but will you listen? Noooo.
"cybercat leaned over the boiling pot. She had added the hydrogen peroxide, the lime juice, the saltpeter, and the muratic acid. After cooling this smelly concoction would be transferred to her bright red douche bag...
With self - satisfaction she thought, "No more yeast infection!". Of course she hadn't thunk to ditch her cheap polyester panties yet..."

Welcome to my permanent kill file. You need to be comitted because the meds aren't working.

Your return address doesn't matter, just the original posting address. @gmail.com.

So, if I go to google groups to look up a deleted thread (like the artichoke heart one) and post from there, I am not only using my gmail return address - I am posting from google groups, which means you've effectively blocked me.
I'm sure I'm not the only regular who posts from google groups on occasion.
I read rfc daily, but I'm still not understanding why anyone would find it necessary to block an entire domain. I didn't participate in all the chest beating when AOL and WebTV were unleashed on the masses either. There was a learning curve for some, but mostly the ones who tried to be jerks left due to being ignored. This group has so much legitimate traffic they get lost in the crowd.... unless someone hyper-focuses on them. Frankly, I hadn't even noticed anything until you complained. When I see a subject line that's remotely teenybopper titillating, I delete it unread. It's easy enough to do in one keystroke.

Whatever! I get tired of the teenybopper threads. I'll resinstate the domain after things settle down. I did the same thing with AOL and WebTV for a while.
OB Food: rotisseried half duck reheated on the grill with grilled yellow and zucchini squash served on a bed of barley pilaf. Leftovers, you can bet on it!

I'll remember that, Jill. ?At work, I have no other access, and at home, I have no time.
Hmm, one would think that it'd be at work where you'd have no time... because you are supposed to work at work... probably the reason they supply no access. hehe

Aw, what else should I be doing on breaks? <g> I don't like watching poker games, talking about fishing, boats, or lawns, or watching "Price is Right" or or the second quarter hour of any soap opera. heck, at least folks here listen to me!
