  1. I need advice on replacing an E-type bb on my Raleigh M-30.

I went to my local repair shop and they are saying that they are not
able to order an E-type bb that matches my current set-up (68mm x
116mm, tapered square). They ordered a 73mm instead saying that that
would compensate for the added width of the E-type derailer.

    Quoted message said:

From what I have been reading this does not seem to be a true

statement and that the main difference between an E-type and a
standard bb is the size of the flange (diameter) for holding the
derailer in places and not width of the bb. Please help clear the
    mystery.
