  1. Hi everybody,

Koxx-One would like to produce a few XTP with a 24" frame, and we would
like to know what you think about that?

Please answer to the survey and give us your advice about the color of
the frame. For the moment, we want to produce a anthracite grey frame
as you can see on the picture.

    Thanks for your answers,

    Tim

PS : Sorry for my imperfect english language.

  2. I think that it would be really nice, because a lot of people hit their
knees on the crowns of their muni frames, but Im not sure how many
people would be willing to spend so much money on a frame.

also, will it be made out of the special koxx alloy stuff, or normal
    6061?

  3. koxx have to lower the price of their XTP frame. I think its pretty
simple. I see no point in spending more on a frame than the £80 asked
for a KH frame. Plus the kH20 frame is lighter than the XTP.

However if koxx where to make it in bright green, the XTP might go into
    my OK book.

So, please answer to the survey.

    Quoted message said:

This frame is made like the 20" one with 6061 T6 alluminium.

KH frame and XTP frame are not the same at all, you could compare the
KH frame and the Black Domina frame, both made with welded tubes.
Sure, the KH frame is lighter than the XTP frame but XTP frame is more
robust, and won't break as easily as the KH one. That is because of the
fabrication process (called YOKE); actually, there is no welding, the
frame is a machined part, and that is why it is more robust and sharp.

I hope you have understood my explanations.

    Have a good day,

Yes he had problem with a xtp frame, but this wasn't this one. It has
been reinforced with gussets, don't worry about that.

Yes, but that's only because Joe Hodges can destroy
anything. During his 'BUC street competition run'
(http://tinyurl.com/2ltw68) he even broke a concrete post in half!😄

  8. I still think the XTP should be taken back to the drawing board.

I rode Joe Hodges' reinforced gusset one, and that one has an even
thicker crack above the gusset when I took a look at it. I don't think
6061 T6 aluminium is too great. -NOTE: I found the crack on his 'new'
XTP frame's gusset when i rode it, and _he_didn't_tell_me__so he isn't
    breaking any sponsorship rules. -

The gusseted XTP is a little bit improved over the original, but still
could be improved by being made of Koxx's patented K-Alone alloy which
is used for XTP bike frames. Or even CNC the seattube as a one-piece
yoke with the crown brace meaning no welds, which theoretically means
    stronger.

Yeah but I can count the number of broken KH frames in the world on the
fingers of one hand, infact I can only recall one 24" frame breaking,
there might be half a dozen people world wide who need a frame stronger
than the KH, not a terribly large market. For the rest of us if it's
approx. the same weight then only making it as cheap as the KH would
    make it feasible.

The domnica has a reasonable price? Not to my knowledge lol. If its
like the KH why is it more expensive? 175 euros vs. 119....

    Quoted message said:

The KH frame and the XTP frame weight about the same,

The xtp is 614g and the KH20 534g. So the XTP is heavier. Granted not
much, but the devil is at 732g.... you get my point here i think.

    Quoted message said:

but XTP frame is more robust, and won't break as easily as the KH one.

Well i think there are like 2-3 broken KH07 frames... how many broken
XTP ones? And how many more KH07 frames are there around? I think the
KH07 frame has proved it is easily as strong

    Quoted message said:

That is because of the fabrication process (CNC YOKE); actually, the

Uhm... and because its more complicated, there are more failed
products? and so frames are faulty?

Just cause its got a CNC crown, doesnt mean its stronger 😄

Now please don't think i'm having a go at you, i'm merely expressing my
point. I do like the way koxx present their products before realease
and show them off. Its cool. But i think the XTP is a bad product. they
    are cheese.

  11. I think the best thing about the XTP frame is how it looks: really cool
and futuristic. But I'd still get a KH myself: it's lighter, cheaper,
stronger and, most important, the crown allows stand on the frame
    tricks.

I still like Koxx unis for their super-cool colour schemes and styles,
    though.

  13. Being a 24" frame i assume this is intended for Muni of some sort
(unless people other than justin Khose think street on a 24 is
cool...), so i have a few questions-

    - would the XTP frame allow for the Surly Large marge rim and Gazz 3"
tyre setup which many serious Mountain unicyclists see as the ultimate
    setup for seriouis DH?

    - Does the frame have break mounts for Magura Rim breaks?

I think you have stiff competition from the KH brand in the muni frame
market. They are cheap, strong (only heard of the santa barbra muni
guys destroying one), have break mounts. If you are selling this
product as a better option than a KH on strength then i think you also
have to assume that someone who is going to want a frame stronger than
a KH will want brake mounts and be able to fit a surly Large Marge 24"
rim with GAZZ 3" in there.
If you don't, you will be limiting your market to people who are going
to buy it on "coolness factor", rather than practicality.

Hope all goes well with the design and manufacturing of the new gear
    mark

if you have a track monster muni and you want to make it lighter then
you could upgrade the frame and that would be pretty cool to be able to
say i got a XTP muni and it would be pretty light too..

  16. I think everyone should stop bashing Koxx-one or any other
manufacturer... if someone askes about strength then sure tell them
what YOUR opinion is. however lets be thankful that there is variety in
the market now. when i got into unicycling all there was, was Profile
wheel sets and bedford or KH frame. Anyways seriously stop bashing... i
know alot of people perfer KH... and hey they are great and Kris is a
great manufacuring... he has alot of experience in manufacturing
behinde him. But Koxx-one deserves respect also, they are always
updating products, they are a fairly new company, i mean we all
remember kris's first try (03 and 04 models not that good... better
then alot but not good). I mean Koxx-one is a good company they make
good stuff, not perfect but i mean what is? Qu-Ax also makes good
stuff... anyone who puts out a nice splinded unicycle is a good company
    in my oppinion!

BE THANKFUL FOR VARIETY... addtionally all he is asking is if you think
there is a need for a 24" XTP.

1+ The more products that come out the more competition and new
products from other companies and we get better quality stuff and

  19. a muni is heavy with or without a frame. the difference between the
steel and xtp frame isn't THAT much. and doesn't the xtp frame kinda
suck. as in weak, despite being lighter. assuming so why would you
want a weak muni frame. and it is twice as much as a KH which we all
    know are good.
