So Carla and I headed up to Toronto for the weekend...
It was my birthday so I insited we take a stroll downtown and sight see.
We window shopped and were having a great time... Carla bought me the coolest little fat Budda for a mojo for the new Element. We decided to walk through a mall downtown (Eton Center) we walked around a bit and found a sports store and went in...
Had a look at all the cool hockey gear we could never afford... on our way out I spotted some decent goggles that Carla had been telling me about for DHing.
We were trying them on and doing our bug-eyed imitations when a sales guy walked up and asked what we would be using them for... Snow Boarding??? Skiing???
No I said Downhilling... You know on a mtb...
Well this guys just lit up.. You guys Downhill????
All of a sudden this guy was telling us all about his bikes, The best bike shop to hit, The best places to ride. He regaled us with stories asked us all about our rides... where we rode...
We ended up standing there for about 45 minutes BSing.
What a cool guy.. Why he didn't have a job at a bike shop... I'll never know...
He claims not to meet too many Bikers, let alone many who DH...
We walked out of there and both though of how great he was as a representative for mtbing... He had us pumped to ride... Next time we bring the trials rig.... I have to ride downtown!!!
I wish people here on Long Island would embrace riding and not all the bs smack talking, race attitudes... Everyone around here seems only to care what they ride and how fast they ride it
