<looks at pic, reads specs>
It's awful, and would still be bad value at half the price.
Any specific reason? 21-speed Shimano is pretty standard
Shimano Tourney is the first rung of the ladder. The Shimano gears on
that bike aren't even on the ladder (Tourney isn't really, either). It
works, but isn't good at working sweet for long.
The frame is made of "hi-ten steel" which is another way of saying 16kg.
That's heavy!
The suspension will not be durable, with bad seals. It has no adjustment
and most likely inadequate damping so will bob up and down like a pogo
stick. An efficient ride it is not.
The gears are cheap, and won't shift sweetly for long (tho they will do
the job). Though they are Shimano, they aren't even bottom of the range
- they're so bad they're not even in the range. Might be up for the
limited use you intend thobut.
The frame looks like it will flex horribly, and various components are
also likely to be made of cheese. At £150 inc postage it wouldn't be
value at half the price.

brakes are supposed to be better than rim.
The advantage of mechanical/cable pulled (as opposed to hydraulic) discs
is that they move the braking surface away from the rims. Good
mechanical disc brakes are about the same as good V brakes. [censored]
mechanical disc brakes aren't, but they are heavier and expensive to
repair.

folding bike to use on holidays at my sister's place in Scarborough.
The only off-road I'd be likely to do would be on SusTrans type
trails, so it wouldn't need to be as rugged as a proper mountain bike,
but I could cover 60-80 miles or more on road.
A hybrid with smoothish tyres is looking good for you. 60-80 road miles
on the ebay bike wouldn't be fun - good suspension comes with a lockout
for use on the smooth stuff.

leave at her place, but I didn't want little wheels. I didn't
particularly want suspension. Do you know of anything that fits the
bill?
Not at that price. Quick release wheels means any bike can get a lot
smaller in not-very-many-seconds thobut.
