Is it me or what? I'm taking in the World Series between Yanks and Marlins and everytime Jeff Conine comes to bat I can't help but notice a resemblance to Lance Armstrong. Told the wife about it and she thought maybe a slight resemblance. If anybody takes in the Series see if my perception is acute or do I have cycling on the mind.
BTW, I live in Miami, but born in Bronx, New York. I want Yanks to win.

To me, they represent everything that's wrong with major league baseball. When one of their players isn't hitting .300 or screws up enough defensively big George opens his wallet and buys a better (or just hotter at the moment?) player. Its pretty pathetic.

I suppose you like the parity in the NFL where 80% of the teams will be 8-8?

Yeah USPS never does that with those that are a threat to Lance. Dave

Dumbass -
In the past, Heras hasn't been a threat, due to the parcours. He cannot beat LANCE or JAN in the TdF because of his poor flat TT abilities. His tactic which best suits his talent is waiting till the last 5k of a long climb, then putting in his attack. Can't gain enough time that way to make up for the many minutes lost in the TTs.
The Vuelta is different. Different types of climbs (shorter and steeper).
Next year the TdF could be a somewhat different since the TT goes uphill. But the TdF climbs still don't suit Heras the same way that the Vuelta does.
As for the rest of the USPS team - who's a threat? They're hired because they're very good support riders.

It's difficult to respond to someone that listens to Tim McCarver way too much to take seriously, but the fact is Ramirez was pointing into his own dugout. I'll now return you to your Fox Broadcast.

It Figures. Red Sox fans.
Was the groundskeeper 72 years old? Also, lots of class against Oakland when Sox pitcher Lowe kept grabbing his crotch on the mound in a gesture to the A's dugout or Ramirez pointing to the A's bench after homering. Let's not forget Mueller "winning" season batting title while sitting on the bench.
Besides, if Pedro came out when he should have they may have been playing the Marlins instead of sitting at home and playing with the remote.
