Hey Daddy-O, nice ride.
Depending on your rockers, you probably have between 3" and 5.7" of
adjustable rear travel. I'd recommend you get a fork that has
adjustable travel, because the Blade's a little ponderous to climb with
a fork extended out much over 110mm. You'll want to dial it down, or if
you can, lock it out for climbing. I have the Manitou Minute on my
Talas Blade, and like it quite a bit. It's plush and responsive on
the balls-out descents, I can adjust it on the fly, and it takes the
medium drops and hits (ie, under 4' just fine). But I've seen em with
mostly Fox forks and a Rock Shox Revelation of Pike, even though I tend
to like Marzocchi a lot, personally.
Have fun, and give Santa a kiss (if that's appropriate)

I'm a bomber fan as well. :-)
The frame/shock is capable of going the full 5.6/5.7 of travel.
thanks for the insight. Christmas can't come soon enough, (so
that I can get the rest of my build bits). Just anxious to get this
bad boy built up.
as you noted, I've scanned the net and have seen a lot of builds
with either Fox or the Pike. Definitely will get an adjustable
travel fork.
The frame I bought did come with a Manitou Black RTWD fork. (90-120mm
of travel). I can hang out with that for a while, as I build this
up.
Yes, I can give Santa (Wifey) a kiss, (and more). :-)
