I've got a Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N520 PDA, which has a built-in GPS
antenna. I'm getting Memory Map software and maps both for use on foot and
on the bike.
Which handlebar mount does the panel recommend?

How waterproof is your PDA?

Not very! However, I'm pretty much a fairweather cyclist and I could get an
Aquapac (or similar) for venturing out in inclement weather. It would be
nice if the mount offered weather protection - but it's not essential.

I have been looking for something similar for both cycling and walking.
For the walking part I did find something on a US site that would do the
trick and was about £40.00 but was not suitable for bike mount.
Another site had a bike mount for my PDA but not waterproof - so no good.
I too have looked at the aqua packs but they do not look as good and I'm not
sure about the usabillity of the PDA.

Self-adhesive velcro?

Self-adhesive velcro?
I suspect that wouldn't enough vibration absorbtion for forest trails and
moorland bridleways. Also, having had Velcro(tm) let go on me, I wouldn't
want to trust something worth more than my bike to it. But thanks for the
suggestion.
At the moment, about the best I've seen is a Ram mount for motorbike
handlebars, but even that looks like it could be improved.

I'd be worried about whether the PDA can stand the vibration.
I doubt anyone engineered them with that in mind, whereas dedicated GPS
units might have been.

May work.
