Control Panel...Add Remove ...then look for Google toolbar and
uninstall.

Just use Agent. It's a perfectly capable email and newsgroup program and comes
in a free version. The parent company also offers a very affordable news server.
Or you surely get a news server with your internet service provider. Usually
those aren't too dreadful for the nonbinary groups. If you're going to download
music or vids you'll want something better than the free server from your ISP,
but if you just want to argue with dumbasses it should work fine.

Appears you use Verizon for connectivity?
If so use a local news reader client instead of a web browser and find
out what news really looks like and how powerful it can be with proper
tools like: Opera, Thunderbird, X-News, Outlook Express, Free Agent...
If multiple computer use is a problem try "Thunderbird Portable"
(Windows only).

News server settings for any of the above clients
* News (NNTP) server: news.verizon.net
* Your Verizon Online user name
* Your Verizon Online password

I've always thought browser-based newsreaders were a poor substitute
for a dedicated news client. I've used Agent (www.forteinc.com) for
years.

Already had Firefox loaded, just don't use it much. Grabbed Thunderbird
and gonna move on from there.
