Cool looking trail. Fast, flow, some exposure and it just kept rockin.
Replay on the biff-boy was cute... ;~D And the switchback around 2
minutes where you almost stop for an "O sheit" second, funny in a been
there, done that way...classic.

IMO, it must have been the Linkin Suck in the background that took them
down.

Those trails are WAY steeper than the video makes them appear. Not many
riders went down Larison Rock faster than that (without a good auger).
The Alpine Trail across the valley in Oakridge was a virtual slide down
with short recoveries of downhill in between.

mentioning it was all downhill . . it just looks like one of those
rolling trails you just point and rip. The whole time I was watching I
was thinking "faster, faster!" I'll have to check that out next time

While I am not the fastest, the faster riders were maybe 1 or 2 MPH
more. It's a steep-ass trail.

I fell when I came around the corner with my right peddle down and
grabbed a root sticking out. Len fell because the culvert that was
supposed to direct water under the trail failed and created a ditch on
the other side that you wouldn't see until it's too late.

Ah. You couldn't see anything on camera. Looked like he hit a stopper

Missed a ride tonight for an experiment that didn't work . . what else

I stand by the comment about Linkin Suck.

There is always someone who will not like the music I choose. Keep in
mind the reason I do these videos. All though you may think it is to
post here, the main reason is for my own personal archive. I am always
going back through my videos to see where I've been, what I've done, and
how I've improved. I do like when people watch them and even comment,
but if they didn't it wouldn't change why I do it.

I don't like every tune I use, and Linkin Park is certainly not in my
top 100 listing. I try to choose music that flows with the ride.
There's really not a thought about whether it's a favorite or not.

to support, etc.

To my eye, the riding seemed pretty slow and
cautious and the video, being simply an
endless stream of helmetcam footage of
unchanging terrain was not very engaging.

It's a video that I think appeals to a
limited audience. Perhaps the people that
shared the ride with you and for your
"archive" as you have noted.

As long as you're having fun that's great.
Expecting other folks to share the same
amount of stoke, based on that footage, is
reaching.

I wish I could say the terrain changed, but it didn't. What you see is
what it was. And speed is relative. It was fast enough for me. People
passed me and I passed other people. Like I've said before, I ride in
the middle of the pack.

Well, I quite enjoyed the video, as I never managed to ride that trail
last time I was visiting the area. And capturing the actual speed and
angle of a ride is very difficult through a narrow video lens. Most of
the professional videos avoid first person perspective and normaly
shoot from a fixed camera.

How heavy is that camera set up? I've been thinking of trying the same
thing with my old canon camcorder, but was concerned about helmet
weight and the affect it may have on the ride.
