I have a Raleigh flat bar road bike. Looking to put aerobars on it but everthing I see is too big for the handlebar. Apparently the bar is less than 26mm. Anyone ever use aerobars on this type of bike or know what I might use.😠

Most flat bars are 25.4mm at the stem and taper from there. Most current aerobars mount close to the stem, which for road bikes is usually 26.0 or 31.8mm.
You can get shims to 26.0 or 31.8mm at most bike shops to accomodate the aerobars.

I tried clipons with my road frame. Didn't like them. Hard to steer, and as one leans over more in the aero position, road frame and seat position geometry are such that you'll be a bit doubled up, with your knees close to your chest.
Dedicated TT frames position the rider's butt almost over the BB, so that the rider can lean over in the aero position without getting quite so compressed.
