Hey, maybe i'm being over-critical here - but every night i'm reduced to cringing at the sight of Mike Tomalaris and to his daily words of cycling wisdom. Now, i'll save everyone the pain of listing some of his better known quotes (my wife won't even watch the opening sequences of the night's stage anymore, because my ranting annoys her more than Mike's genius)...but I feel that if I don't share my annoyance i'm going to go insane. Generally EVERYTHING he says leaves me with some kind of empty bewilderment, but last night he said: "We are getting ever closer to the Alps, without actually being in them." .......................... I love the tour, Ullrich or no Ullrich. But i'm finding these days, that I look forward to the finish so as to put Mike Tomalaris behind me for another year. ~gm~ ps..If any of Mike's family happens to read this - please forgive my petty rantings, i'm sure you are all very proud.

thats right it is petty.
and i'm quite willing to put up with it for such great cycling coverage.
But. agreed, he's saying some amazing things.
freaking me out too.
sat night with voigt's awesome win, he was talking to a female
journalist from cycling news. he looked absolutely 'besotted' by her🙂))
(so was i! but at least i was in my lounge room at home🙂

We've got a bet on that Mal Sawford can get into his 5 min schmoozefest
at the end. Mal is president of Carnegie-Caulfield and is at the Tour,
and has done some writing etc for cyclingnews. I doubt Tomalaris will
try and perve down his shirt 🙂
