These have been down since I found out about their existence a couple of weeks ago - anybody have any idea how long its been and if/when they are likely to be back?
Failing that, are there any other good sites with local buy/sell for second hand bikes? UpMyStreet doesn't handle this sort of stuff any more and not many people seem to use craigslist in the UK.

Haven't a clue on both counts. You are not missing much though.

UpMyStreet used the content of www.adtrader.co.uk
There's also some buy/sell content at the Cycling Plus web site

I'm pretty sure I looked at the advertising forum about 3 weeks ago. They probably went down /just/ before you found out about them.
The site states that they will be back, but not when: "The CTC Message Board & Members' Login are temporarily out of service due to a fault. We hope to be able to resume this service shortly"
Two weeks seems like an unacceptably long time for them to be down, though.

They went down just over a week ago.. I e-mailed about it, but got no response. I noticed this appear on the CTC site a few days ago:
"** The CTC Message Board & Members' Login are temporarily out of service due to a fault. We hope to be able to resume this service shortly**"

I rang them up last week because I have moved house and my membership renewal probably went to the old house. Their system for dealing with membership was down then too.
