  1. Well, unfortunatly I have found a hairline crack on the bottom of the downtube, right where the weld
    is, on my K2 so...

I'm looking into jumping on the steel bandwagon, and I like the looks of the IF Deluxe. While I
understand that they will custom build the frame, any idea what they go for?

$1,350.00, custom or stock. Go custom of course. The lead time is 6 plus weeks. Mine took about
seven weeks to ship, but not sure how long it took my dealer to get the payment to them.

  3. K2 lifetime on their frames. Whats up! Go ahead and spend if you must don't forget to get the frame
treated for inside rust. Its a must.

    Fire up MTB 03

IF treats the seat tubes for rust. All of the rest are sealed.

Nope, only 5 years, according to my manual. I actually will try and get the warranty replacement
though. But damn those IF Deluxes are SCHWEET!

I got mine used, off craigslist boston. They seem to come up there with some frequency. There is
    another one already: boston.craigslist.org16812645.html

Dunno where you are, you'd surely want to see it in person so this may be impractical.

Besides, a custom bike means custom paint too!

Absolutely, and they have some spectacular color schemes. I will probably replace my current frame
with a warrenty replacement from K2, but I do believe it'll be my next bike. I'm down in GA, so that
really wouldn't be practical. But thanks for the link. There are only 2 dealers here locally, one
isn't but about 25 miles from me, so I'll be going to see em' when it's time.

    Thanks again.

Two color fades are no extra charge. Color schemes are only limited by your imagination, and
    your wallet.
