The indicator of whether you have one of the affected pumps is on the pressure gauge. If yours has a blue arrow to use to point at certain pressures, yours is affected. If it's black it's not.
If you have an affected pump, they'll send you a new pump cylinder. Switch over the gauge and hose and destroy the old cylinder by denting it (claming it in a vise or taking out your frustrations with a hammer...). Your LBS should be able to help you with fulfilling the recall issues.

Thanks for the information. I was curious as to the specifics of the defect. It doesn't seem that the handle rapidly moving up would be that catastrophic when being held with two hands.
