There was one in Australian Cyclist a few years back with the backward
facing rider in front of the front facing rider. It was claimed this
would be much more aerodynamic without the use of a fairing.

It's for flipping the bird in both directions.

I've seen a similar setup but the riders work 'against' each other in a sort of "bicycle tug-o-war".

Strictly speaking, it's only torque where the chain is on the cogs (and even
then, I'd argue that the torque is on the cogs.) Off the cogs, it's just
massive tension.

Don't you hate that, you confirm the send, and then a couple of
seconds later realised you mixed up torque and power *again*? And in
my past experience, I never get to cancel the queue before fetchnews
gets around to sending it off.
