I might as well be hanging in a butcher's shop.
They're on sale now and therefore tempting, but if you have sprinters
thighs like yours truly, avoid them. The padding on the inside of the
thigh does nothing but create more chafing, and the leg grippers are so
tight as to actually cause pain. I'm a 33-34 waist, and the shorts
supposedly are 34-36 for a large. They're going back tomorrow.
I can't find the cool page a member of this newsgroup put up a while
back with the pictures of different chamois, if somebody has a link,
that would be fantastic.
I'm coming from a well loved pair of Performance Hydroflo (sp?) that
had minimal padding, just a little slippery plastic thin bag with some
sort of liquid and a very thin cover on top of that. All the labels are
shredded, but they were about 7 years old, having spent a few years
unused. Any of the Performance models have minimal padding? My 20 miles
of experience with padded shorts has me hating it. Walking with them
was even worse, I felt like one of those infant fetishists. Ewww!
Cheaper is better, though I do like 8 panel shorts. ;-)
thanks!
