If anyone wants one of those sweet TdF yellow jobs they are clearing them out for £199, You can't
even get the shifters bars and wheels for that price.

not bad if they're at 200 quid now!

Oh no. I'm tempted. Noooo.....
If my local Halfords do have them, anyone know what frame size is appropriate for someone 5'7"? I
know, I know - go see the bike, stand over it. But general guidelines on sizing roadbikes would
be useful. -

No there isn't. Binaries aren't allowed in the newsgroup uk.rec.cycling even if the forum/gateway
you use allows them. Many news servers, mine included, drop the binaries. Thus I see no bike. Better
to post a URL to a webpage containing the image.Colin

HAlfrods in Old Kent Road, London said they sold the last one this morning. (I got the impression
they had only one really). Bet you it was sold to someone from uk.rec.cycling :-)Any other sightings in London, as I'd like to at least have a look at one?

Curious. It would seem tha messages posted on www.cyclingforums.com are turning up on uk.rec.cycling
and vice versa. Hence the apparent contradiction.Tim

tempting me by selling out a while back. -

To those of you that have bought them what's the general opinion. I ask as I was planning to buy a
race type bike for training leading to taking park in triathlon next year. I had planned to spend
about £600ish on a bike but that would be in a while (when I have saved more pennies). Getting one
of these would allow me to buy a bike and SPD shoes today but I don't want to feel like I have let
my eagerness get the better of me :-)Thanks again

I think that the bike is well worth the money
The only problems i can see with the bike are: -
Pedals - (being replaced with spds any way)
Crank set - (Un named - i felt the chain was sometimes being pulled up at the bottom - which marked
the frame slightly - so I'm replacing this item for a sora one from wiggle for about £50) (to match
the rest of the groupset)All other components seam fine - (i think ever thing else is a "named" product)
I personnel felt the weight of the bike was more than comparable with others i tried (most
£600 + !!!!)So my general opinion is the bike is the best £149.99 I've ever spent (shop spoiled - 1cm
scratch on frame)"Paul" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...
