i see, any excuse to show off the carbon love machine...🙂

the SUV was rented from a local rentshop in Calif. I insisted on a VW Polo but that would seat 6 people with a ton of luggage.

i have been trying to make up for the environmental destruction ever since..

Eoin, there are many pubs in the Granite City...i visit only rarely. Its difficult to suggest one coz i dont really know any.

and yes, i didnt have to wipe a few dead cyclist from my windscreen. Trouble is, you just cant see them from this high up. The only tell-tale sign is a crunching sound and slight rumble from the suspension and by then its too late...a bloody nuicance.

Had you ever been to the sw region before. Interesting area. It is on my itinerary as i have only been to san diego.

its a beautiful area, i stayed in Sothern california but didnt get to visit San Diego itself.

we left SoCal that day, the temp was around 27C. We arrived in LV that evening, the temp was 38C. During the day (at the hoover dam) it was 43C.

no way could i even consider cycling in that heat...i would be dead...or at the very least i would have a respectable sun tan...which dosent suit me.

yep, i am infected alright, everytime i leave for work i keep driving round in circles, actually we did go to the WWE smack down event. A bit of a comms breakdown. I said i wanted to see UFC in MGM Las Vegas, i got RAW & Smackdown in Anaheim....i have never seen so many mexicans in one building at the same time.

no, not all the time...mostly at traffic lights and junctions, when they go green i would swing out into on coming traffic (left hand side) ... habit really.
