Question: how do you get the taste of washing-up liquid out of a water bottle?!
Possibly cheaper than Milton's or similar, a good "taste remover" is Sodium Bicarbonate. This has the advantage that you are likely to already own some (Assuming you bake things from time to time). Make up a mild solution and shake around in bottle. Rinse out. Good for (mild) sterilisation of Camelbacks too.
NO2 is disgusting brown stuff that makes nitric acid when added to water. N2O is laughing gas and used to foam up ice cream etc.
I think he means N2 and CO2, which are used to foam up beer (though most beers only use CO2, and some inject it and some just use that produced by fermentation). (And I've only seen N2 used to make ice creams in lab demos, commercially I'm fairly sure they just use air (and seaweed extract or other gelling agent to increase the amont of air that can be beaten in, in cheap icecream).)

I know N2O's used for whipping cream. (Add to solution under pressure, release pressure, hey presto, cream with airholes in) I assumed it was the same for smoothflow beer.

The nitrogen also helps to displace dissolved oxygen, thanks to Henry's Law, thus prolonging its shelf life - this means that N2 is often used in breweries for purging beer undergoing secondary fermentation before kegging/bottling (as opposed to cask or bottle conditioning where secondary fermentation continues in the beer container after leaving the brewery). Overdoing it does, however, result in pancake-flat beer due to most of the carbonation being driven off too [1].

Doesn't seem to on mine. The bottle cage does that for me.
I always found that a slightly loose bottle -> cage interface combined with a fast and slightly bumpy downhill could do that. 35mph decelleration does wonders for "genericising"[1] a bottle.
