I put moleskin on the back of my heel (Achilles area) because of an intermittent pressure/rub
problem. It works fine, but the moleskin tends to come unstuck from my skin after I've been running
a little while. It stays in place alright (sock & shoe hold in it, I guess) but I'm wondering if
there's some way to make it stick better. I put it on dry skin; it's the sweat that seems to
de-stabilize it! It comes off when I remove my sock. bj

You just use it to cushion your feet, the mole is nothing but a pile of guts without it.Bill R.

I've heard worse suggestions. This hillbilly kid has a hot date and he goes into the drugstore and
tells the guy behind the counter he wants a package of rubbers (condoms for the politically
correct). The pharmacist says that'll be $3.95 with tax. The hillbilly replies, "tacks, holy [censored] I
thought stayed on by themselves." -

But if it stays in place what is the worry?

longer pieces so the edges avoid the chafing area. -
To those who made at least semi-serious suggestions, thank you.
To those who wonder why it's a problem if the stuff stays in place -- I'm worried that it's going to
shift if I run longer, not to mention the hotter weather coming up (more sweat sooner, for longer
time); it already feels like it's wanting to slide around a little bit. And if it would stick to me
instead of my sock when I took the sock off, I could wear the same piece of moleskin the rest of the
day with other shoes. To those who may wonder why I'm such a paranoid wimp about my feet -- I'm diabetic. bj

Then forget the superglue.
Roger.

Bill, you should try putting super glue in your eyes instead of eye drops. It works realy well. Let
me know how it works for you. -

the moleskin from )rolling up. For addition adhesion, apply benzoin to skin and let set up for a
minute before applying moleskin. After applying moleskin, dust area with talcum powder to cover any
exposed benzoin (this stuff is real sticky and will make getting the moleskin off after harder. Or
use elasticon tape as above for even better results (I've used it for 100M and 4 days later it was
still firmly in place). You can get it on the web (search) or at a medical supply store. Just don't
let it rub adjacent exposed skin as it's outer surface is rough. The Trailrunner

I had a pair of shoes that would cause a blister high on my heel with the same problem of padding
not sticking to the skin. Solved the problem by getting the thick size moleskin and sticking it to
the inside of the shoe, not the skin. It would stay in place for weeks.Other than shoes, some things that can cause heel blisters are overstriding and/or landing too hard
on the heel. You may want to experiment with shortening your stride and straightening your foot
placement a bit (avoid running with duck feet). If you are using cotton socks, switch to coolmax."bj" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:<[email hidden]>...
