  1. Many years ago I made a great Chinese chicken dish with black bean and
whiskey sauce. Then I lost the recipe. I think I have found it, this time
with frog legs, but chicken will work with this one too. (Credit: I found it

I can't wait to make some because the memory has stayed with me for years.

Looks interesting and good. Most stirfry recipes avoid olive oil but
in this case you're not using high heat with the frog legs so it should
work fine. For chicken, I think I'd chop thighs into two pieces or use
boneless thigh meat. These would want higher heat so I'd switch to
peanut oil. Might add a bit of red chile flakes, too, since that goes
well with black beans and the chicken is more robust than frog legs.

    Frog legs are good.....

    Giant prawn are better. ;-d

Love the recipe mix! I've not played around with whiskey as an
    ingredient. Thanks for the concept!

What a hoot. You know what would be funny (also sick)? -- if they put those
springy-steel type of prosthetic legs on some of the frogs :-)

I liked the whiskey part of the subject line.

Did a "somebody else's" black bean soup recipe last month. The kind only a
mother could love and still throw away. 🙁((

I've never made it, but I've eaten lots of it. Yummy stuff,
    expecially Cuban style (no meat).
