jumping shimano !!!

  1. I have recently upgraded to shimano dura ace/ultegra mix which is
    brilliant, however I do have a slight problem with my chain slipping
    when on the 53 11. bearing in mind that everything is brand new, so
    it's obviously not a ware issue. Just to complete things even more,
    my mavic sl wheels have a 12-25 dura ace which run fine, no jumping at
    all. I have no idea what the problem is !!! Anybody which has any idea
    would be greatly appreciated.

    Is the limit screw too tight? Barrel adjuster too tight?

    Are you using the correct lockring? It could be that the chain is being
    restricted from engaging fully onto the teeth of the 11T sprocket
    because it's contacting the lockring if not.

    Perhaps your chain is too long, have you got the mech adjusted properly.

    It's just God's way of punishing you for using far too big a gear.... ;-)

    Perhaps your chain is too long, have you got the mech adjusted properly.

    may be a stiff link in the chain.
