Sorry if this is OT (but I doubt it,) I don't seem to have any nutrition newsgroups.
I'm wandering if there is anything in plant/flax based oils (ALA + GLA) that has been shown to have any health benefits beyond the benefits of the small percentage that converts to DHA and EPA which have clearly been shown to have health benefits. In otherwords is there any point in taking these short chain Omega 3's either instead of or in combination with fish oils.
