Quoted message said:i roasted a chicken in the oven a few years back
i had stuffed fresh crushed garlic under the skin (a whole clove)
-
short story, i fell asleep it baked till morning.
it didn't burn, i had a foil tent over it...but the whole apt complex
smelled like scorched garlic and the yard bird was crunchy through and
through
*one day, a young lady fixed me chicken drummies...as a snack
she kept walking through the living room saying "ribbit, ribbit"
I never thought anything about it
-
finally I caught on..it was frog legs!
i thought it was a little fishy, i just figured she had cooked in used
fishy oil
ok elaine parrish, top that!
I can confess a dinner disaster, though not mine. it was my ex's
apparently he was in the middle of making the gravy part of shepherd's pie,
and got out the plastic container of what he thought was cornflour to
thicken the gravy...of course, he didn't bother to read the label, kept
cooking, wondering why it didn't thicken up so well...turned out what he had
used was icing sugar (powdered sugar) instead
then he expected me to still eat it, after he told me he had rinsed all the
gravy off the meat/vegies under running water through a colander, and made
up new gravy
sheesh
