  1. I recently bought the Blackburn Trackstand Fluid Trainer. I used it yesterday and it worked great. I was going to use it today but for some reason it was acting up. The knob to adjust the roller kept "unwinding" itself after a few moments of pedaling. Therefore the tire would no longer be touching the roller and the rear wheel would spin freely. I'm not sure how to fix the problem and it's wierd because it worked great yesterday. Any suggestions or someone with a similar problem?

  2. To me that would indicate a stripped tensioner knob or the bolt that it threads on to. The typical cause would be overtightening, and the only fix would be to replace whichever is stripped.

  3. ugh, dont get me started on Blackburn trainers. i bought their magnetic trainer several months back and it started making a horrific high pitched noice (as if the tension between the roller and tire were too loose) and DOES NOT EVER STOP. I can tighten the knob almost 3 revolutions and sounds exactly the same as if it was just barely touching the wheel. I've tried everything to get rid of the noice - inflating, cleaning the tire; water to the tire while spinning...nothing gets rid of the damn noise.

i've searched consumer reviews of blackburn trainers and they are NOT good, to say the least. People have had trouble contacting the company. Please read these reviews. i'm really [censored] about spending $200 on a POS. 🙁
