I can get fresh cilantro at the grocery store year round......
but it's one of the few herbs I just cannot abide. ;-)
Shaved soap anyone? <lol>
first few times I've had it I was totally reminded of soap. I've
slowly come to appreciate it, but I'll never love it completely
I'm with you. I do not like cilantro. I've become accustomed to it, slowly.
Michael
I won't. No way, no how! :-P
Central Market carries a bunch of fresh herbs every year, all year, and
I'm now making good use of my greenhouses! We've had 2 hard freezes now
and I sill have 2 pots of live basil in Greenhouse #3. :-)
The rest of the "harder" herbs in the herb garden are ok, even with the
coating of ice they got the other night. Dittany, rosemary, sage, thyme
and mexican oregano...
I've been getting HUGE bunches of fresh dill from the oriental market
for 99 cents per bunch, then drying that in the dehydrator and storing
it in glass. I pretty much use that mostly for fish and other seafood,
and sometime steamed veggies.
