Ive had chicken, roasrt beef, turkey, goose, a concoction of many different birds one isnde teh othger, venison, wild boar and just about every foirm of really good meat for christmases over the year.
Goose and venison top the list...but the frankenstein roast was pretty interesting.
I saw one being made on television recently. It was called a Turducken (A turkey breast, lined with an escalope of duck breast, and spread with minced chicken then all rolled up and roasted.) Incidentally it was an American chef, on Martha Stewart's show on American TV.

Hello JP. How's things? It's not often we see you here on ukfd. Why not hang around for a while?
Jeffrey Steingarten talked about turduckens in one of his books. Seems a very strange thing to do to me but each to his own. -- June Hughes

Hello June
Greetings from this side of the pond.
It's the time of year June!
I had to reinstall my mail and newsreader and never did get round to re-subscribing to my other haunts. Will have a look-see.

Hello June. I saw the explosions and the fire near London on TV tonight. npi I hope you and your family are safe.
over and out
Hello Edith
How lovely to hear from you. Yes we are all OK. There was thick black smoke drifting overhead this afternoon but it was a relief to see that only one person is still in hospital with breathing difficulties. Thanks for your concern. Have a great Christmas and New Year.
