Still no loss in either pounds or inches. I am holding steady so I
figure the best I can expect while I am on these particular anti-d's
is to not actually gain any more weight.
I'm pretty sure that were I to come off them the weight would just
fall away as fast as it came. It's a bit disheartening, but on the
other hand, the tablets make it possible for me to live a reasonable
life.
It is really too bad that there isn't an alternative med that will work
for you.
Is there any chance you could experiment with sunshine and exercise?
There have been a number of reports in recent years on the
anti-depressive effects of sunshine (or bright light) and exercise.
Sunny side rooms of the hospital are associated with better and faster
relief of depressive symptoms than the rooms on the shady sides, for
example.
The light therapy, if done with artificial light, requires pretty strong
lighting... technically 5,000 to 10,000 lux (a measure of incident
light), and the average room lighting is somewhere between 50 to maybe
500 lux.
Sunlight is pretty bright.... you can take a very well lit room with the
blinds down, and when the blinds are opened, the "well lit" lighting is
completely overpowered by the sunlight streaming in the window.
Light therapy is "almost as bright as sunlight", not just "Hey, those
are nice bright lights".
