The type is Maillard

LBS = Local Bike Shop

The spacing on a 7 speed freehub won't allow you to mount a 9 speed cassette - you'll almost certainly need a new rear hub, at least.

Thanks for the acronym deciphering. To me, LBS is an abbreviation for "pounds - mass", not local bike shop. Imagine my confusion.
