I was out and about with some friends on Sunday, then we went on to another friend's house. (They've
decided that cycling is brilliant, I evidently have a strong influence)
Basically, there's a big hill in a series of hills. I decided it would be a fun idea to speed up
as far as possible then shift down... it was working well, until a sidestreet appeared.
Ever-cautious, I stopped. I was in 3-7 on the steepest hill I knew, and I stopped. You can imagine
what happened next....
Well, I pushed it up and I still beat one of my friends to the top :-) I learnt my lesson though!
Getting used to the new bike, it's very nice. Need to fiddle with the gears a bit now though but
that's what my free service is for in a few weeks! Took a little breaking in but now everything is
adjusted to perfection, wahey! 🙂
Now I am cycling everywhere. It's great, and so much easier now. I get to the "hey I'm out of breath
phase" (for example on some stupid hill), it passes, and I feel like I can carry on forever, yay!
