First two weeks, I did the same thing but without the nuts and low
    carb ice-cream.

Can you see anywhere I could be mucking up the Atkins plan?

Breakfast: 2 eggs, full cream, and grated tasty cheese made into
scrambled eggs. On Saturday and Sunday, I have bacon, 1 egg, 1 tomato,
    a few mushrooms.

Lunch: Gourmet lettuce, sliced olives, sundried tomatoes or real
tomatoes, tasty cheese, avocado and either ham or chicken. This is a
small serving and I drizzle a little cold-pressed olive oil over it.

Sometimes I am not hungry for lunch, so I will have some macadamia's
or some cashews instead of the salad.

Dinner: 1. A piece of meat or chicken, either broccoli or zucchini,
and a piece of pumpkin (small serving). Sometimes I will put some
tasty cheese over the vegetables - or
    2. Atkins quiche and zucchini or broccoli - or
    3. Meat and salad with 1/2 boiled egg. (same salad as lunch but with
celery, salad onion and fetta cheese added)

Dessert: Either small serve diet jelly with full cream, or a small
    serve of Low Carb Ice-Cream @ 4.7g per 100g.

Some days I do without dessert and have a bowl full of nuts instead.

I wonder if the nuts are causing me not to lose weight? It would mean
that my allowance of carbs has come down considerably since the last
time I did Atkins, but I may need to stay at or below 20g for weight
loss to occur. I don't know if I could do it, I honestly don't. Could
I stick with this for a life-time? Not more nuts, nor dessert?

I just don't think it would be doable for me in all honesty. The
reason I loved Atkins so much is that I could, ever so slowly, start
adding a few carbs here and there. You could have a few treats and not
muck up the plan, but if I have to stick to 20gs or below I think I'm
    buggered.

    TIA,

I forgot to add that I rarely feel hungry. I force myself to eat
breakfast, sometimes can't manage lunch, and then force myself to eat
    dinner.

I remember last time I was ravenously hungry for the first 4 days on
induction, and then it waned into a normal eating pattern. I would say
it has a lot to do with the drug I'm on. Actually it is supposed to
make people very hungry and crave carbs, but it doesn't do that for
    me.

I'm thinking of going back to induction, forcing myself to eat 3 meals
a day, or 5 small ones and see if that doesn't start some weight loss.

Well, it depends how big your bowls are - but what you listed sounds very
sensible to me, low carb and not silly on the calorie front either. Two
possible thoughts; could you try eating the same amount but over, say, 5
meals in the day, to give your metabolism a boost? Or try shaking up your
calorie count - if you really are eating pretty well the same amount of
caolories every day, try going 200 up for a couple of days. Sounds wierd,
but it's broken stalls for me! Ah - thought 3 - do you like green tea?
That's supposed to be another metabolism booster.

And unless you feel you're pigging out, I'd stick to the nuts. There's lots
of studies that say that people who snack on a handful of good, healthy nuts
(not peanuts, but almonds or walnuts generally) eat less calories than
    people who don't.

Well that's good to hear 🙂 I sometimes overdo the nuts to be honest.
So I've really pulled back in that area. It's just that it seems
easier for me to be able to actually eat the nuts instead of other

Well I will reduce my intake of nuts to see if that has any bearing
and I will only buy almonds this coming week. You never know, if I do

I hope so too. But I don't think you ought to be too discouraged if all you
managed to do is stay in one place. Look at Saffire, she stayed at one
weight for months, but kept plugging; now she's reaping the benefits!

  11. Your body probably knows about eating. I have been eating 1-2 meals
daily and losing well. Rarely hungry, drink water regularly, take the
fibre, and no problems. If you have to force yourself to eat just
because some poorly conceived science suggests you HAVE to eat three a
day, I don't see the point.

If you don't want to eat at breakfast, don't eat. If you do eat
breakfast, and don't want lunch, don't eat that. See what the results
    are.

If you're not hungry, don't eat. You'll have a better chance at losing
weight that way. Forcing yourself to eat is a deal killer for weight loss.
Besides, if you follow the rule of "not hungry, don't eat" you'll eventually
get hungry. Some think that it's when you start to feel hunger that you're
losing weight. Also, once you start getting hungry again, don't allow
yourself to go long periods of time being hungry, for that might put you in
danger of eating too much (it depends a lot on you). That's where small
meals work well. Once you get hungry, eat a small meal so kill that hunger
but also not overdo it. Don't eat the next one until you feel hunger again.
And, eat them slowly so that signals have time to get from the stomach to
the brain - saying that you're no longer hungry.
