chocolate whey, fish oil, flax oil, a bit of coconut oil, and a
little creatine. Yuk.
Yesterday I discovered Torani Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup (comes in
many flavors). Splenda based, no calories, no fat, no carbs, no
nothin', just chocolate flavor.
This morning's protein shake was EXCELLENT!
Highly recommended.
Cool. So how's the diet going? You didn't answer last time I asked.
You
getting close to where you want to be?
When I got to 203, I took a 2 1/2 week break. In two days, my weight
increased to 212, 9 pounds of glycogen and water. Then slowly creeped
up to 216. Then I restarted the diet 10 days ago. Back to 203
yesterday.
I think around 190 is still my goal. We'll have to see when I get
there. Maybe I'll become anorexic.
I don't think I've ever heard of a male anorexic - wonder what the stats
are on that? Time for a little Google...
Well, I haven't hit the percentage of males as anorexics yet, but here's
a lovely tidbit we should post on rec.running:
!! Yates et al. (66) compared male marathon runners to anorectics and
found
!! many similar sociocultural and personality characteristics. Runners
were
!! found to have a bizzare preoccupation with food, and even when they
!! would achieve a lean body mass of 95 percent with only five percent
!! body fat, they would aim for four percent body fat.

Sounds a little extreme in judgement, if you ask me. Just tested myself
with my Omron hand-held gadget. If I tell it my actual age, 50, it
tells me 13.6%, and if I tell it I'm 20 years old, it tells me 8.3% -
those numbers are several points less than when I was a regular runner
and didn't lift.
Sorry, did I change the subject?
