Track stands are cool. ๐ Looking cool (James Dean rebel without a cause type yawn I'm so cool) while doing a track stand is even cooler. ๐ ๐ ๐ Way cool. I like to throw in the odd one hander, just for the fans.๐ Its a risky manoeuver, but worth it for the right crowd. Like a friday afternoon "5.05pm heading for the bus stops Brisbane CDB" crowd.๐ ๐
So I'm pullin a steady stand, and then I go for the uber-cool one hander ...... Oh [censored]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I hit the deck harder than Beazely hits sizzler on a Sunday. I'm like a christmas beetle on its back, only with a bus behind me and a green light in front. The crowd rises, as one, and laughs. The [censored]. I close my eyes now and still hear the laughter and the name calling - "Hey look - a turtle. go Michelangelo, go Leonardo !!" I'll be back.
So that I can start to mend emotionally, please post your best "when track stands attack" stories. The winner (you be the judges) will receive a prize. I will personally design and craft (using fine plastics, paint, imitation wood, fake ivory, bostik hot glue, tin foil, glitter, staples and other precious tools of the trophy-makers trade) the "Track stand of the Year Perpetual Trophy".
