Hi Montygram:
Thanks for your reply.
I have Pemphigus Vulgaris, a fairly rare autoimmune disease. Without
prednisone the 5 year mortality rate is 100%.
My physician lowered my prednisone to 50mg two days ago, and I expect to be
down to 40mg in less than a month. Dosage is really condition dependent.
This is a really nasty drug, with nasty side effects, but it saves lives
across the board with so many diseases.
If I read your advice correctly, black cherry ice cream with chocolate syrup
and whipped cream is medicine. I wont feel guilty now.
Thanks,
Fred

Quoted message said:I think you mean magnesium. Anyway, a little potassium citrate won't
hurt, just don't overdo it. Take calcium and magensium citrate, and a
vitamin D supplment.
You are probably going to destroyo your body if you continue to take
the medication though. You need to stop eating any major source of
unsaturated fatty acids and oxidized cholesterol, and you can also eat
berries and dark chocolate in much larger amounts than you probably are
now.
I had severe osteoporosis and it cleared up within a few months once I
figured out what to do. Aside from those supplements and avoiding
unsaturated fatty acids, you should eat at least a little organc butter
with each meal and be sure to get plenty of good quality protein. Raw
cheese (or at least whole milk cheese) and boiled eggs are very good.
If you'd like, why don't you tell us why you are taking the medication?
