I have to say with these revelations on micro-dosing and withdrawing blood
to be re-infused post vampire visit and pre-stage start, it seems more and
more likely we had a blood bag mixup.-jet

-DA74Oh, forgot to mention. In the Science channel doco on steroid use in
sports, they were talking about the female sprinter (Kelli White) that
turned and gave the info that started the Balco scandal. The expert who
developed the THG test, Don Catlin said that he was surprised that she
admitted it, and in his experience that even when caught the dopers would
do everything but admit it. He went on to say that the dopers had taken the
'art of denial' to a science.-jet

Don Catlin is on record at EPO hearings that the rate of false
positives for a BPA of 80% is 1 in 500,000. When he gave those
numbers the problems with the test were known, so he had to
have known that the numbers he was giving (under oath) were
horseshit.I wonder if he was in denial about the problems with the test.
I have much less respect for the dope cops than I used to.

No, nothing new. I just like to periodically take the pulse of the
Believers to see if they are starting to crack.Brother Magilla - have you turned on the Marblehead Stick Monkey yet?

That's been the inside tip from day one. But don't listen to me. The
Unich is a much more reliable source.

-DA74DA74,
I am still undecided about the Haven harbor captain.
There's a part of me that really wishes Santi would have just taken the
time to read the label on the blood bag before asking the team doctor to
transfuse it back into him........and then there's a part of me that thinks dogtag is a true victim of
a bad test by drunk Aussies. It will be interestiing to see what the CAS ruling says, although I
doubt it will convince me either way. After all, lawyers are not
qualified to validate this test.Magilla

DA74's crass, baseless & vitriolic retort:
Well Papai-hole, since we're on the subject of mixed plasma populations
I have a suggestion: Douche the dna out of your mangina once in awhile.
It's good hygiene and might help reduce your periodic whining. -

You mean chimaera? Thanks Stu - for giving me the opportunity to enlighten the rbrfosi yet
again. Both spellings are acceptable. Although I prefer 'chimera'
because when you look it up at wordreference.com it gives this rather
topical definition:"a grotesque product of the imagination"
If the blood don't fit you can't acquit.

In _The_Book_of_Imaginary_Beings_ Jorge Luis Borges writes
The first mention we have of the Chimera is in Book VI of
the _Iliad_. There Homer writes that it came of divine
stock and was a lion in its foreparts, a goat in the
middle, and a serpent in its hindparts, and that from its
mouth it vomitted flames, and finally was killed by the
handsome Bellerophon, the son of Glaucus, following the
signs of the gods. A lion's head, goat's belly, and
serpent's tail is the most obvious image conveyed by
Homer's words, but Hesiod's _Theogony_ describes the
Chimera as having three heads, and this is the way it is
depicted in the famous Arezzo bronze that dates from the
fifth century. Springing from the middle of the animal's
back is the head of a goat, while at one end it has a
snake's head and ath the other a lion's.The Chimera reappears in the sixth book of the _Aeneid_
``armed with flame''; Virgil's commentator Servious
Honoratus observed that, according to all authorities, the
monster was native to Lycia, where there was a volcano
bearing its name. The base of this mountain was infested
with serpents higher up on its flanks were meadows and
goats, and toward its desolate top, which belched out
flames, a pride of lions had its resort. The Chimera would
seem to be a metaphor of this strange elevation. Earlier,
Plutarch suggested that Chimera was the name of a pirate
captain who adorned his ship with the images of a lion, a
goat, and a snake. These absurd hypotheses are proof that the Chimera was
beginning to bore people. Easier than imagining it was to
translate it into something else. As a beast it was to
heterogenous; the lion, goat, and snake (in some texts,
dragon) do not readily make up a single animal. With time
the Chimera tended to become ``chimerical''; a celebrated
joke of Rabelais' (``Can a chimera, swinging in the void,
swallow second intentions?''😉 clearly marks the
transition. The patchwork image disappeared but the word
remained, signifying the impossible. A vain or fooish
fancy is the definition of Chimera that we now find in
dictionaries.--
