I don't know what to call it. It's not a casserole. I boiled 8 oz. of medium egg noodles, drained them, put them back in the pot with 4 cups of chicken broth and a can of cream of celery soup. I added frozen corn, frozen peas, chopped carrots. Looked in the freezer for my frozen broccoli but couldn't find it so I added a handful of frozen spinach. Added some fresh (not smoked or salted) almonds. Pepper, tarragon, a couple of dashes of hot sauce. Tasted it; it still needed something. I added some marjoram and salt. That's better. And who cares... it's a pot of non-Asian noodles with vegetables 🙂 I can add whatever I want to the leftovers!

It sounds good to me, but you've made one fatal mistake. You used cream of whatever soup. You've now opened yourself up to a thorough trashing by the food police <G>.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, Jill. You're on your way to 'clean the refrigerator soup.' I thought a soupie would know that. ;o} Janet

I think it's called half a noodle kugel. But without the hassle of a binding agent and baking.
Reminds me of an old Barney Miller episode. Detective Sam Yamashta is cooking soup in the office. Wojo comes over and goes, "Blech!! What is that, garbage?" Yamashta goes "it's not garbage, it's made with fish heads, carrot tops, celery leaves and leftover noodles." He pauses then says "come to think of it, that is garbage."

Sounds yummy! :-) I've added creamed soups to Ramen noodles before, with various veggie and meat additions.

If I add more liquid it will become soup! And after all, someone has to compete with Jimmy Tango and Sandra Lee!

No, it's cream of celery noodle soup. 🙂

LOL It's not soup until I add a LOT more liquid to it! But that might be the next thing I do! Maybe even a can of V-8 juice... hmmm. Wait! It has vegetables. So if I add some tomatoes and blend it, it could be V-8dles! 🙂

Tis the time of year for Less Nessman of WKRP to report about turkeys flying from the news helicopter. Herb the marketing guy kept saying, "I swear, I thought turkeys could fly!"
