Hubby asked me to post and let you know that there are no bibs for ATB (Around the Bay). They are handing out wristbands instead. ๐ He suggests getting down there today to make sure you get a wristband. Apparently the bibs weren't ready in time.

far out... what a shamozzle.... I got a phone message last night, saying that they would not have bibs for me today and that I should not come in until Friday... maybe on Friday they will be handing out dog tags ? Well should be interesting anyway! -

Personally I think we should all have our rumps branded. Then at the ferry we'dhave to all drop our knicks in order to get lunch and the ferry ticket. -

That would be a pain in the ass for two reasons if you wear bib and brace knicks.

It's worse than that; BV are taking the details of people who have been issued a wrist band and will mail the bibs to those people as soon as they become available! Dunno how many turned up today to pick up their stuff but that's gotta be a serious amount of cash even if they get bibs in tomorrow to hand out.
Think I'm going to wear a bib if it gets to me in time? Not fscking likely. Should have been wrist bands from the get go. Snutting bibs, fsck that.

I don't get it. What's the point of mailing them out after the event? -
arh well, they'll save a few dollars with using volunteers.
I wonder if the lunches will be supplied in especally printed paper bags (lucky rain is not forecasted).

The idea is that the bibs /might/ get to us before the event so could we /please/ wear them if they do.
Not snecking likely!

Souvenirs, I suspect. Not that I'd want such a souvenir; I'd probably
just chuck it into the bin.Kinda like I did with that GVBR video that was foisted upon me some
years ago. Never watched it, never intended to.--
My Usenet From: address now expires after two weeks. If you email me, and
the mail bounces, try changing the bit before the "@ to usenet". -

I wonder if the Romans had such problems in their quest for world domination? -

My wife, Suzie. I'm gradually edging her towards cycling; heaven help me when she does take to it though as she's borderline obsessive compulsive :-) -

Err, to explain further:Hubby == Husband == me (Euan)
Wifey == Wife == Suzie.
Hopefully that's all clear :-)

No, that's the first time Suzie's used my login and she only did 'cause I asked her to. Unfortunately I was offline yesterday so it's the only way I could think of to get the message out about wristbands for ATB instead of bibs. -
