I blame SKYNET. It's the Belgians' way of getting even. The balance has started to tip, with Museeuw
winning in Denmark, Bruylandts in Spain and Axel Merckx leading in Tour de l'Ain. The rise of the
machines has started.Jeff

Before electricity...Seeing all those pictures of people stranded yesterday and stuff I wonder why
don't more than 1 out of one-thousand ride a freaking bike to Manhattan? Damn. Whales? Lazy? Too

I'd like to live a few years longer.

"We are getting there," said Mayor Michael Bloomberg, applauding the 8 million New York residents
for their efforts to get by without electricity and air conditioning in sweltering temperatures."It tells you something about New Yorkers," he said.
<snip>
Wow, those New Yorkers are amazing. They can live without air conditioning.

unlike the iraqis who just live without power most of the time.

You can ride in New York City. There are plenty of bike messengers who do, but you also see plenty of them being scrapped off the pavement.
