  1. Bought the e-book a week ago, started this morning.

    Have l-c'd before.

Any pointers, caveats, etc. you care to share at the begining instead of
letting me trip on them on my own?

I was counting grams of protien this morning as I was making breakfast
and thinking that I will probably have a hard time actually eating 1g/lb
    of lbm.

    All constructive thoughts/comments appreciated.

    not kidding.

Find whatever fibrous veges you like, and learn to eat them as snacks. Fat
free cheddar cheese is good on everything. Fat free cottage cheese is very
filling. Omelettes with Egg Beaters, fat free cheese, jalepenos, tabasco,
and a can of tuna...YUM. If you feel the need to pig out, try eating a bunch
of protein...fills you up, doesn't screw up the glycogen depletion and
ketosis. Do the 5 hour carbups, and don't worry about the weight gain: it's
all glycogen and water, will go away in a day or two, and will keep your
metabolism perking along. Don't neglect your multi vitamin/mineral
    supplements and the fish oil.

Yeah, I have the same experience. However, what you don't eat one day does
NOT get to be carried over until the next.

Have you rediscoverd any veggies that a person wouldn't normally think
of? I can do brocolli for about three weeks before I will not eat rather
than eat another piece, so a variety is really a good thing.

It seemed like there was a lot of carbs in the ff cottage cheese and ff

milk was acceptable, need to reread on a regular basis.)

Had trouble getting the egg beaters to work in an omelete this morning,
but it was the first time I had tried to use them anywhere. Came out
quite runny, to the point of having to switch to scrambled half way
through. I will have to do some omelette dinners when I have more time
    to work with the materials.

But I will get to getting them.

FF cottage cheese is more filling than chicken.

    That's odd.
The carb content of FF yogurt is similar to that of cottage cheese if
    it's plain, no additives.

Plain yogurt is grosser than spinach. I feed it to the dog, but she eats

I'll just eat them before going to bed for the day, just like I do the

What is the carb content of raw radishes?

I don't know. I don't care. One does not count carbs on the LMMPSMF. It's
allowed, or it's not. Radishes are.

    Got it. ;-)
Just tossed 6 raw radishes in with the two chicken breasts for tonights
    two meals at work.

    It's crunchier than spinach.

    Anything is better than spinach.

Fat free cottage cheese is gross. :-P
    I'll eat more chicken.

FF cottage cheese is more filling than chicken.

It is somewhat gross, however. Which is another reason you should butch up.

    What about FF yogurt?

    Not allowed.

    That's odd.
The carb content of FF yogurt is similar to that of cottage cheese if
    it's plain, no additives.

Plain yogurt is grosser than spinach. I feed it to the dog, but she eats
bird [censored], so, what does she know.

What about, say, 6 eggwhites and one egg yolk?

No yolks, or no eggs period?

    No yolks.

I remember reading somewhere to rinse the cottage cheese, since all
(or at least most of) the carbs were in the liquid.

The easy way to do this is to buy a big fine-meshed strainer, dump the
cottage cheese in, and hold it under the running water in the sink.

If you do this, you will notice that the left over curds are MUCH less
sweet (better or worse is a matter of taste I guess, I find the
    consistency better at least ...)

    The http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/cgi-bin/list_nut_edit.pl
food database lists the following (per 100 grams each)

(Database didn't have 0 fat creamed)
    Cheese, cottage, lowfat, 1% milkfat:
    Protein g 12.39
    Total lipid (fat) g 1.02
    Carbohydrate, by difference g 2.72
    Fiber, total dietary g 0.0
    Sugars, total g 2.72

(I'm guessing that this is the rinsed version)
Cheese, cottage, nonfat, uncreamed, dry, large or small curd:
    Protein g 17.27
    Total lipid (fat) g 0.42
    Carbohydrate, by difference g 1.85
    Fiber, total dietary g 0.0
    Sugars, total g 1.85

Too late. Hungry right now. Forgot to throw some brocolli in the
omelette this morning, so there wasn't much fiber in my breakfast. That
    was six hours ago.

Lunch is only 45 minutes away. If I down about a quart of water that
usually keeps me from nawing on the desk.

I do have to say that my hunger usually decreases over time on a l-c
diet. I hope that holds true for this kind.

Definately not hungry now. Had a nice big piece of cod on the grill with
Tapatio, pepper, garlic and cilantro for dinner. And an entire can of
string beans, and a big spinach salad. Soy sauce makes for a decent
    quick salad dressing.

Sitting at around 900kcals for the day and wondering if I will eat
anything else. Maybe a little rinsed ff cottage cheese when I get back
    from the gym.
