fat".
AcCoA originates out of ANY kind of fat ("beta-oxidation"😉 and out of
glucose ("krebs cycle"😉.
I seriously doubt there is cholesterol deficiency in a healthy human being
living in an industrialized country.

He is thinking about the fact that saturated fat "elevates" cholesterol
levels in the blood.
And the research I saw showed that was only true for chain lengths shorter
than palmitic. Stearic and longer had no effect. Although, there had not
been a lot of good research into this (last I looked several years ago).
Maybe something new has come along.

In the real world, the devil is in the details. SFAs can be broken into
many different sub categories. Unless you want to live off of coconut
oil, you really don't have too many options when it comes to SFAs.

That's true and people starving think they are doing a great job with their
cholesterol reduction. They ignore the fact that essential nutrients are
being denied and not just cholesterol is being impacted.

Well, considering details... Coconut oil will raise your TC level high
as it is composed mainly from short chain SFAs.
