you take a recovery day and do something else instead?
nah, recovery day needed 😉
although if im not too stiff i might go for a swim in the morning. i am treating myself to gold
class seats to see the new terminator movie tomorrow afternoon at the cinema with the GF.
Quoted message said:I cycled into town, shopped a bit, then cycled back the scenic route - about 8 miles total,
however tomorrow I will be mostly cycling 10 miles (at 7am!!) to meet a bunch of people I don't
know to then all drive to Claife in the Lakes Dist. and do a bunch of off road and then unless
someone can offer me a lift back, 10 miles back from drop off point. I have my map, compass and
platypus at the ready, just need an early night tonight now!
ouch, off road sounds tough ... ditch the platypus, too much weight to carry round!

not expecting good things this monday - its been one of those sod it weeks! ... although exercise
and fitness is coming on well so overall even if things dont go well monday longer term outlook is
looking good
knowing i can do the commute distance with some left in the tank gives me a good boost so im
bringing forward my test ride to sometime this week ... i'll probably do tues / thurs ride home
from work - gives me the nights to sleep it off and see how it goes
they'll think im nuts at work - i get a van to drive around in and once i start this properly
i'll be leaving that in the yard most nights and just using it if need to go out and about during
the week
cant imagine it will take long to get this weight off once i start regularly doing over 120 miles
a week providing i can keep my food under control a bit whilst doing it
overall really looking forward to next spring as that'll roughly be the time i should shed all
this weight by and by then have pretty good road legs too - which is when i'll be on the lookout
for one of those nice road/audaxy type bikes that speed me along on my commute
120 miles a week. Yup, the weight will fall off. Just remember that fat burns at a lower heart rate
than max...Max burns carbs and saves the fat for later. Work at 65%, rather than 85% (apparently)
Also, 120 miles a week. You shouldn't need to worry too much about what you eat, as long as it's
relatively healthy and after a short while, your appetite will come into line with needs rather than
wants ;-) Well done, keep it up, Cheers, Dave.
