I hear amphetamines work really well.

    (1) Most diet pills are useless placebos.

    (2) They're probably not necessary or even useful unless you're really
    close to your goal weight.

    (3) Even when appropriate, it's very easy to misuse them and cause
    great harm to yourself.

So, I say you should not do it. Stick to diet and exercise unless
    your doctor tells you otherwise.

  4. Try crystal meth.

It is possible to take slimming aids along with the diet.

It is also possible to take arsenic or other poison along with the diet.

Maybe it is not a good thing to take extra stuff with the diet, just
    because you can.

I wouldl suggest that if you had a good sound LOGICAL reason to take
some slimming tablet, you might consider it.

But I didn't say to DO IT.

    What kind of "slimming tablets"?

My Doctor has me on Adderall......

    Works fine.

Atkins tends to be a natural appetite suppressant, so it really isn't
necessary to take anything to speed things up. You don't say what
"slimming tablets" you have in mind. OTC supplements targeting weight
loss are generally considered to be either ineffective or dangerous
(often they are simply diuretics or laxatives). Prescription
medications may or may not help, but more than once some prescribed
medications for weight loss have been shown to cause major medical
problems, including DEATH (phen-fen & Meridia). Why risk it if you
    don't need to do so?

Chemically, they're pretty much the same animal:

The only difference between crystal meth and Adderall is that
Adderrall is in standardized dosages, and the route of administration
is typically oral. Crystal meth can be eaten, smoked, snorted,
skin-popped and mainlined, which can all impart different qualities of
    effects.

ok, but just out of curiosity, why is meth' rotting out people's teeth
in record time while adderall has no such (known) side effect?

Well, if you took the active ingredient in Adderall, found a way to
concentrate it, and then ingested it in large amounts for weeks and
months at a time at way beyond therapeutic dosages (i.e., the dosages
used to treat ADD/ADHD or narcolepsy/cataplexy), your teeth would
probably rot out as well, among other things.

My understanding is that meth addicts look like [censored] typically
because they're pathetically malnourished, not because of some inherent
property of the drug to rot one's teeth.

I thought about it some more and I've read that meth' also tends to make
you thirsty and crave sweets, so rotten teeth would follow drinking a
    lot of soft drinks.

I know a couple of people with serious pop addictions and they have
    horrible teeth.
