Was watching my " Six Of The Best" Dvd about Lance Armstrong.
Anyhow in the 2003 TDF, there was an incident where I think it was Beloci ??
lost it on a sharp curve, and had a bad crash and was seriously injured,
anyway Lance was behind him when Beloci fell, and Lance went around him and
cut a corner, and maybe saved himself 10 secs.
He really didn't have much choice, but my question is, should he have been
penalized for that ?
Secondly, another incident, when Lance crashed, because he hooked on too
some spectators bag, and Jan Ulrich took the lead and seemed to slow down
for Lance to rejoin.
Anyway after the race they interviewd Lance and he said that he also did
that to Jan when he once crashed.
Lance said that when someone thats leading crashes, you don't attack, you
wait for the crashed rider to catchup again if he is able too.
I found this strange, as I thought you would take advantage of someones
mishap.
Is this the norm in Pro Racing ?
