  1. Hmm, I need a new rim for my rear wheel - it's warped, the sidewalls bent,
and I'm missing a bunch of spokes. The hub and cassette seem to be in
adequate condition so I'll keep them.

I'm can build up the new wheel myself but am having a problem - how many
    spokes should I buy?

Do I actually have to count the holes in the rim? And the hub?

Thanks for taking valuable time out of your day and giving me an answer.

A rear wheel usually requires two different length spokes. You should get
    new nipples also.
The rim 'should' have twice the number of holes as one side of the hub ;-)
If you don't want to bother to count them just buy 20 of each length.

I've spent most of my money on mountain biking and windsurfing.
    The rest, I've just wasted.

If you weren't missing spokes I'd say just count the spokes, but...
You would only need to count the holes on one of them since they where built
up already, you can assume that they are going to match. you should buy the
rim and spokes at the same time/place and bring the hub along so they can
get the right length spokes for you.

    good luck
    Jason

You're really not funny and actually quite obnoxious. Give it up already.

You need to work on your trolling. That was ok, but look at the
    competition you have around here.

The difference, Paulie (I'm guessing 16?), is that we /like/ Penny. You're
just a whining little pathetic [censored]-ant.
