  1. Could anyone venture an opinion of the midge menace in the Glen Lui/Linn of
    Dee area at the moment and for the next week?

  2. The Scottish midge is presently at its peak mating regularly and
    producing millions more. The only way to avoid the female from
    attacking you is to stay covered up and use some protection, although
    as seen from other sites they don't work very well.

    Best deterent - wind and not your own. They also don't like strong
    sunlight but we only get that occasionally.

    Sunday looks to be a breezy day so you should be okay then.

    The greatest influence on midge abundance is the weather. Read the
    forecast and pray for strong winds!
