It happens a lot.
Yeah? Could you post some pictures of a "skinny fat" person? Or, cite
some
articles that discuss this issue?
Check out Jared, Saffire, and Cubit, just for starters.
Links to pictures? And, height/weight stats? Are they really around 22.8
BMI? Do you have any data on what their body fat percentages actually are,
or are you just assigning the "skinny fat" label based on your own
prejudices? Or, perhaps you're just jealous??

They keep getting smaller, but they are not lean.

Do you have this same problem? Is that why you can't understand?
LOL - hardly. I currently weigh about what I did in high school (at 6' tall
and 167 lbs my BMI is 22.6). According to my latest measurements, my Body
Fat is around 11%. Not bad for a 52-year old. Here's a pic from a few days
ago: http://www.shastasoftware.com/CycliStats/biketours/BTC2005/BTC120.htm
And a better one from last year when I was cycling in France (and weighed
about 5 lbs more than I do now):

FWIW, last week I participated in the Bicycle Tour of Colorado - 475 miles,
with 31,000 feet of climbing. One day during the ride, I averaged 21.7 mph
for 105 miles with 5400' of climbing - my fastest "century" ever. This
Saturday, I'll be doing the Markleeville "Death Ride" near Lake Tahoe - 129
miles, with 16,000 feet of climbing in a single day (roughly equivalent to a
mountainous stage of the Tour de France).
So, no...I'm not "skinny fat", whatever that means.
As for "skinny fat" being a problem...could you cite some studies that
discuss this "problem"? I've Googled for it, but find very little other
than people selling pills, or "diet and exercise secrets".
