Well also I would think the FDA would approve vitamin c based on it's safety
as there's overwealming evidence to say it's safe.

The FDA hasn't approved acupuncture. The FDA lists acupuncture needles as a
Class 11 device.
It was for safety. People were reusing needles without sterilising.
Think of transmitting AIDS...hepatitis...infections.

That's downright horrible. Disposable needles run from 3 cents to 15 cents
each. It is illegal in all 50 states to re-use acupuncture needles.
All states with licensing acts require disposable needles.
